Original Bootjacks
HOW DOES A BOOTJACK WORK?
A bootjack, also known as a boot pull, is a small shoe accessory that helps in the removal of (cowboy) boots. It has a u-shaped opening that holds on to the heel of the boot, and a flat area to which the wearer can apply counterweight with the opposite foot. The user would then pull his foot free of the front boot.
A bootjack has so many benefits as opposed to removing boots by hand:
- It allows pulling your foot straight up and out of the boot securely
- By using your full body weight it allows to hold the boot in place. This gives much more leverage and a tighter grip
- There’s no need for the user to bend over or sit down to take the boots off. A dirty boot would make this even more inconvenient
